Singh is kinng Movie Review 2008 weakster rating 3/5

August 17th, 2008

This is a usual Bollywood flick thats made some lime light over the past 2 weeks or so with the 2 big names as leading roles it was set to do well. Along with snoop dogs track thats also called sing is king theres a question of these two once different niches coming together, cloaborating and making even better entertainment which is what im sure we are set to see in the near future any how back to the movie and the story line of what happens.

Story line:

8th August releasing date of Singh is Kinng, it is the moment for which everyone is waited. This film comes under the category of romantic comedy. This story begins with the happy singh(Akshay Kumar)who always tries to be a helping hand but ends up being a nuisance to everybody and then a King. But due to this helping nature sometimes he created the destructive situations, tired of all these activities of happy singh, the whole village decide to send him on a long trip that will keep him out of the village for a while.

Happy even drags his good friend Rangeela (Om Puri) to accompany him in his unknown journey, once out of the village. Now both Om puri and Akshay Kumar went Australia to bring Lucky(Sonu Sood) back to Punjab. But Sonu sood is the King of the Australian underworld who is accompanied by his associates Javed Jaffrey, Neha Dhupia, Manoj Pahwa, Yashpal Sharma, Kamal Chopra and Sudhanshu Pandey.

In his journey to Australia Akshay Kumar met with Sonia [Katrina Kaif], with whom he falls in love, but upon reaching his destination, things take a precarious turn as he runs into a series of comic misadventures, leaving him penniless. After that some interesting twists came into the life of Akshay Kumar and he becomes the king. After that you will found a twist in the tale at the intermission point and the second hour, that, shifts gears and movie turns into an emotional love story from a romantic comedy.

Mummy 3 Movie Review (2008)

August 15th, 2008

I can see why there may have been alot of hipe for mummy 3 as of jet li being in it and the third edition of what already a good release of movies that had their own following audience. How ever i do believe that jet li’s part in this movie may have spoiled it somewhat and this seems to be a generally agreed vote amongst most review writers. Any how id still recommend you watch the movie to atleast see what i mean.

The only thing missing in Mummy 3 is horror. Scary thrills should be a hallmark of mummy movies, but that’s an ingredient that’s sorely lacking and missed here. With its weak plot and horrible casting, you might assume that Tomb of the Dragon Emperor would at least be saved by a few cool action scenes. It is summer escapism, right? And here we get back to Mr. Cohen. Even the action in Dragon Emperor is horrendous. Cohen chops his film together in such a way that you can’t tell or care what’s going on at any given moment. And there’s no tension. Who lives? Who dies? Who cares? Having just seen the movie, I can’t even think of a single shot or special effect that will truly impress summer movie fans and the plot is already starting to fade from memory. There’s nothing here. More than any major franchise in a long, long time, this sequel is completely dead on arrival.

p.s i think jet li rocks in most other Movies :)

Journey to the Center of the Earth (2008) weakster review 3/5

August 12th, 2008

This is a fantasy movie with come very good visual effects. I persoanlly think that they have gone slightly over the top with trying to create every pre-historic / alien enounters movie in one but over all a good show and deserves a weakster rating of 3/5

Opening Friday in RealD 3D (where available), Journey to the far left made me slightly queasy on occasion, but that might have been caused by the extreme closeup and angle, not the glasses.

standard rap against 3-D movies: They exist solely to jab audiences in the theater a “great seat.” My view from the second row to the Center of the Earth stands guilty as charged, but if you’re looking for 92 minutes of mindless fun, this Journey’s packed with guilty pleasures.

Wanted 2008 Movie Review

Wanted 2008

This was a great one to watch it kept me entertained all the way to the end. Although curving bullets around corners may be some what slightly beliveable the stunt that Jolie pulls at the end certainly isnt and spoiled the movie for me a bit.

The Dark Knight Review (2008)

August 5th, 2008

I love this movie ! To be perfectly honest i didnt really pay much attention to heath ledger (Batman) i was more into the fantastic acting of the late joker. The performance was just so real and belivable i have heard rumours that he locked himself away in a room for a month prior to making the movie.

“I choose chaos,” says the Joker, and those words sum up what’s at stake in The Dark Knight. He’s right when he compares himself to a pulp would shame the Marquis de Sade. “I choose chaos,” says the Joker, sniffing Rachel like a feral beast.

The Joker’s sadism is limitless, and the masochistic delight he takes in being punched and bloodied to a pulp would shame the Marquis de Sade. The Joker’s sadism is limitless, and the masochistic delight he takes in being punched and bloodied to a dog chasing a car: The chase is all. He’s right when he compares himself to a dog chasing a car: The chase is all. “Hello, beautiful,” says the Joker, sniffing Rachel like a feral beast. Watch him crash a party and circle Rachel, a woman torn between Bale’s Bruce (she knows he’s Batman) and Eckhart’s DA, another lover she has to share with his civic duty.

Ledger’s Joker has no gray areas — he’s all rampaging id. If there’s a movement to get him the first posthumous Oscar since Peter Finch won for 1976’s Network, sign me up. It’s typical of Ledger’s total commitment to films as diverse as Brokeback Mountain and I’m Not There that he does nothing out of vanity or the need to be liked. The Joker represents the last completed role for Ledger, who died in January at 28 before finishing work on Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.

Starring:

Michael Caine,

Heath Ledger,

Christian Bale,

Gary Oldman,

Aaron Eckhart
